Manual Doors
Service & Maintenance

Scheduled manual door maintenance checks for peace of mind
Manual Doors are sometimes overlooked from a maintenance perspective but are a key element to consider for any building manager or FM for building security, fire safety and minimising risk of injury.

Including manual doors in your planned maintenance contract will ensure they operate correctly and safely, reducing overall building maintenance costs and risk of non-compliance with health and safety, and building regulations.

Often, basic adjustments have a big impact on the longevity of your door assets and the building fabric surrounding the door.

Our qualified technicians can check and adjust any parts of the door and door hardware (hinges, door closers, locks, handles and emergency exit equipment), and provide a record to prove you are meeting your regulatory responsibilities at your property.

In busy public areas, or where children are present, we can supply and fit finger guard protection to your manual doors, to prevent injury from trapped fingers.

Opening door

Closing speed is a common issue with manual doors, where the door is slamming too quickly, closing too slowly, or not engaging with the latch or lock for secure closure.

When manual fire doors become problematic, it is important to check they are not ‘wedged’ open by building users, compromising the fire safety of your premises.
